This is one way of getting your 5 a day. Fruit Chaat is a type of spiced fruit salad, sweet and savoury flavours, lightly spiced Chaat masala, chilli powder, and some salt and a squeeze of tomato ketchup. You can use apples, pears, bananas, grapes, pomegranates, guavas and the juice of oranges. Really refreshing and addictive. Mainly made in ramadan - the month of fasting.
5 pieces of fruit you prefer (banana pears apples red grapes pomegranate)
Salt to taste
1 tsp Chaat masala
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 freshly squeezed juice of a large orange
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
1. Chop the fruit and add to a bowl
2. Add the red chilli powder, salt, Chaat masala, ketchup and mix.
3. Add the orange juice
