Keema potato rice


Ingredients


400gm minced beef

2 cups basmati rice

4 chopped potatoes

1 chopped tomato

600ml cold water

1 chopped onion

1/4 teaspoon chilli flakes

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/4 teaspoon chilli powder

1/4 teaspoon cumin powder

1/4 teaspoon coriander powder

Pinch salt and pepper

1 teaspoon garlic and ginger paste

Fresh Coriander baby tomatoes and bay leafs to garnish



Method


Cook the rice with half the onion added and leave too cool

Cook the chopped potatoes till soft about 10 minutes

Heat a pan add two tablespoons olive oil add the onions cook till soft then add the garlic and ginger paste cook for a minute then add all the spices cook for a couple minutes too a paste then add the chopped tomatoes cook for a couple minutes then add the mince beef mix well and cook for 10 minutes then add the precooked potatoes mix with the mince then add the rice mix cook for a few minutes on high turn heat down garnish with the baby tomato and coriander and serve.
