Spicy Sprout Curry.


300g Brussel sprouts cut in half

1 Onion chopped

1large Tomato chopped

1tsp tomato puree

few curry leaves

1tsp minced ginger

1tsp crushed garlic

4 green finger chillies chopped

1tsp cumin seeds

1tsp mustard seeds

half tsp onion seeds,

half tsp fennel seeds

1tsp coriander powder

half tsp cumin powder

half tsp turmeric

1tsp kashmiri chilli powder


1heaped tsp TCCHC Basaar mix


half tsp black pepper crushed

salt to taste

2tbsp oil

1 Cup hot water

chopped coriander to garnish.


Heat oil add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, onion seeds, fennel seeds, sauté 30 secs then add chopped onions and curry leaves, cook till soft and golden brown then add garlic and ginger cook out rawness,add chopped tomatoes and tomato puree, mix well cover and cook till tomatoes are soft and mushy and oil separates, then add dry spices cook few mins ,add sprouts, mix cook couple mins then add hot water cover and cook till sprouts are tender, check for salt,add chopped coriander.
