Keema Mattar
Ingredients
1/2 cup cooking oil
2 onions
2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 kg Keema lamb or chicken
Cup of Garden Peas
2/3 tomatoes
2/3 green chillies
1.5 tsp salt
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp Garam masala
4 cloves
1/2 tsp black peppercorns
Fresh coriander for garnish
Method
Heat cooking oil in a pot
Add the onions fry until golden brown takes about 10 minutes or so
Add the ginger garlic paste cook one minute
Add the tomatoes and cook until soft takes about 3-5 minutes
Add the mince meat and mix well cook about few minutes
Add the spices and cook continuously stirring until the water evaporates 5-10 minutes
Cover and cook for approximates 25 minutes if using chicken Keema and 40 minutes if using lamb Keema
Add a cup of peas
Adjust seasoning
Garnish with green chillies and fresh coriander
