Chicken Liver Curry By Tracey Ramseebaluck


500G Chicken Livers

1Onion chopped,

2 Tomatoes chopped

3 or 4 green chillies sliced

1tbsp garlic/ginger paste

1tsp turmeric,

1tsp chilli powder

1tsp black pepper powder

A few curry leaves

1tbsp cumin seeds

salt to taste

1tsp lime juice

chopped coriander

1or 2tbsp oil.


Clean chicken livers,then put in bowl with 1tsp chilli powder, 1tsp turmeric, 1tsp ginger/garlic paste, pinch of salt,and put to one side for 20 to 30 minutes. Add oil to pan over medium heat,then add cumin seeds,saute for 30 seconds then add chopped onions and cook till soft and golden then add rest of garlic/ginger paste, fry till rawness gone,then add Curry leaves,green chillies and chopped tomatoes cook till Tomorrow are soft and mushy then add 1tsp chilli powder,half tsp turmeric, 1tsp black pepper powder and let cook for 4 or 5 mins stirring, then add Chicken Livers stir, add a little water and cover cook on low till livers are soft and tender ,add chopped coriander, turn off heat sprinkle tsp lime juice.
