Lamb Curry by Bagheera Paan

Lamb Curry


500g Lamb cubes

1 litre water

1 large chopped tomato

1 large sliced onion

5 garlic cloves chopped

1 inch ginger chopped

1/2 tsp salt or to taste

1/2 tsp turmeric

1 tsp basaar powder

1/2 cup cooking oil

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp chilli powder

fresh coriander

1/2 tsp Garam masala


1. Throw the lamb cubes in a litre of water bring to the boil and remove the scum.

2. Add the tomato, onion, garlic, ginger, half tsp salt, turmeric, basaar and simmer till lamb tender and liquid reduced to a sauce.

3. Take out lamb pieces and transfer the mixture to a kadahi.

4. On medium heat add the oil, add spices cumin, coriander, paprika, red chilli powder. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.

5. Add lamb and cook further for 3 minutes, taste for salt and add more if needed, garnish with coriander and Garam masala, serve with chapatti or nan bread
