King Prawn and Green Bean Curry (recipe adapted slightly from Latifs Inspired) By Shai Ayoub

King Prawn and Green Beans

This recipe is adapted from Latif’s Inspired.


1/2 cup of vegetable oil or ghee

2 bay leaves

1 medium onion finely sliced

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1/2 tsp turmeric

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp kasuri methi

Couple of tbsp of tomato purée

Salt to taste

1 cup green beans

500g king prawns

Couple of wedges of tomato


1. Boil the green beans in salt and hit water

2. Heat the oil/ghee

3. Add the cumin seeds, bay leaves and let sizzle.

4. Add the sliced onion and fry until translucent

5. Add the garlic ginger paste

6. Add the spices

7. Add the tomato purée

8. Cook 5-7 minutes

9. Add the prawns cook 5 minutes add a few spoons of water

10. Add the beans stir and simmer 10 minutes

11. Add a couple of wedges of Tomato wedges let simmer a couple minutes and serve
