Masala Baked Beans

1 Can of Baked Beans – open the can and add the Spice Mix below, straight into the can

Spice Mix

· 1 ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder

· ½ tsp Turmeric

· ½ tsp Garam Masala

· 1 tsp Ground Coriander

· ½ tsp Ground Cumin

To Cook

· 1 Diced Onion

· 1 tbs Oil

· ½ tsp Ajwain Seeds

· ½ tsp Black Mustard Seeds

· Pinch of Hing

· 2 Green Chillies (sliced fine) (optional)

Add the Oil to a pan, fry the seeds and the Hing for 30 seconds then add the onions, sprinkle a pinch of salt and allow to brown (may takes 5 minutes). Once the Onions are ready, add in the Beans, rinse the can with a little water and add into the pan, give it all a good stir and simmer for 10 minutes (depending on how you like your beans you can add more water).

Top with the green chilli and either enjoy as part of a breakfast or with chapatti any time of the day!
